Double Finale
The World Cup Finale downhill race in Garmisch was the venue for the presentation of the cheque from the charity campaign „Downhillers for Haiti“
There could have been no worthier venue than the last downhill race in the finale of the Alpine Ski World Cup 2010: What started at the Hahnenkamm Downhill at Kitzbühel on the 23rd January 2010 was successfully completed in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on the 10th March 2010. Athletes were able to present two cheques for the impressive sum of € 121,193.05, directly resulting from the charity campaign „Downhillers for Haiti“.
This sum of money can now be made available to the International Red Cross, to provide welcome relief for the victims of the earthquake catastrophe which happened on the 12th January this year.
