The Kitzbüheler Ski Club (K.S.C.), organizer of the annual Hahnenkamm Races, can look back to a long tradition and development.

Skiing Pioneer Franz Reisch carves the first turns on Kitzbühel’s slopes
1894/95
First documentation of ski races staged in Kitzbühel
1902
Foundation of the free "Wintersportvereinigung" (Winter Sports Association) at the hotel ”Zum Schwarzen Adler” (now Hotel ”Tyrol”) on 15th December
1905
The name of the Association is changed into "Wintersportverein" (WSV)
1931
At the general meeting of the WSV on 20th July 1931, the Winter Sports
Present time
From its very beginning and to this day, the Kitzbüheler Ski Club has succeeded, thanks to the sports achievements of its members (50 Olympic and World Championship medals) and its organizing skills, in gaining recognition in the international world of skiclub Austria.
